Lecture Title: Cutting Edge Technology with Piezoelectric Surgery

Abstract:

The use of ultrasonic cutting technology is considered to be a cutting edge innovation currently being used in oral surgery to maximize treatment options for patients. The technology has improved soft tissue and hard tissue management in the field of oral surgery, periodontology, prosthodontics and other fields in dentistry. Its introduction to dentistry has eliminated the need for convention dental drills for some procedures and shortened treatment times which benefited both young and old, making surgeries more effective and more efficient with excellent results.

The lectures would focus on the latest cutting equipment in oral surgery using ultrasonic energy and discuss the indication of each as presented in different cases. Its goal is to make the general practitioner know the advantages of the cutting edge technology in oral surgery to appreciate its good points in making treatment more accurate and making procedures more comfortable on the part of the patient
